Driving Complex Bridge Rehabilitation Through Strategic Project Management and CPM Scheduling
The Millard E. Tydings Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation Project involved structural steel cleaning and painting, corrosion protection, concrete and welding repairs, and rehabilitation of deteriorated bridge components along Interstate 95 over the Susquehanna River. The project required carefully coordinated construction activities across 14 bridge spans while accommodating maintenance of traffic, environmental restrictions, seasonal work limitations, and specialized construction operations. Anthony Management Group (AMG) provided Project Management and CPM Scheduling Services, including development of a resource-loaded Primavera P6 baseline schedule consisting of 195 activities.
AMG coordinated construction sequencing, resource planning, critical path analysis, and schedule risk identification to address complex work phasing, environmental restrictions associated with peregrine falcon nesting, and a 116-day winter shutdown. Through disciplined project management and scheduling, AMG helped establish a structured approach to construction planning, strengthen project coordination, and support informed decision-making throughout this complex bridge rehabilitation project.
