Executing Sustainable Infrastructure Management for State Park Modernization
Executing sustainable infrastructure modernization for public recreational facilities, Anthony Management Group directed the construction management for a comprehensive energy efficiency improvement project at Sandy Point State Park. The project was engineered to substantially reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and advance the State of Maryland’s long-term environmental sustainability goals across one of its most heavily visited destinations. The comprehensive scope encompassed installing solar photovoltaic systems and a solar hot water system alongside energy-efficient lighting, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and high-efficiency hand dryers throughout park facilities.
To achieve these benchmarks, our team oversaw the placement of approximately 285 solar panels across multiple locations, including picnic pavilion rooftops, while introducing a new solar hot water system to serve the East Beach Area bathhouse. Navigating an active public recreation environment, we supported successful project delivery by coordinating field activities, monitoring construction progress, and facilitating stakeholder communication. This careful oversight ensured the improvements were completed efficiently while minimizing disruption to daily park operations and visitors.
