Elk Neck State Park

Cabin renovations at Elk Neck State Park were performed for the Maryland Department of General Services, featuring the replacement of eight existing cabins, the construction of new ADA-compliant facilities, upgrades to the bathhouse, and the reconstruction of a historic “museum cabin” for interpretive use. Executing these diverse improvements within an active park environment required careful sequencing to accommodate weather constraints and ensure public safety.

Timeline oversight relied on a resource-loaded CPM schedule in Primavera P6, incorporating 930 activities, 1,406 relationships, and 98 critical path tasks. This complex scheduling model allowed for the seamless coordination of phased construction activities, ensuring that all renovations were delivered efficiently while preserving the unique character of the historic structures.
