Supporting Light Rail Facility Modernization Through Strategic CPM Scheduling
Anthony Management Group provided CPM scheduling and project controls support for the Cromwell Light Rail Maintenance Facility Improvements for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The project is part of the Low-Floor Light Rail Vehicle (LFLRV) Fleet Transition Program and includes planning and design for a new two-track heavy repair and maintenance facility, a two-story administrative and support building, and modifications to existing facilities to improve maintenance operations, workforce training, and overall operational efficiency.
AMG developed a logic-driven Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule to establish the program timeline from the 30% design phase through construction completion. The schedule incorporates design progression, permitting activities, procurement sequencing, phased construction, commissioning, and project closeout milestones to support development of a realistic design-build delivery strategy. In addition, AMG supported preconstruction planning and design coordination efforts focused on constructability, facility phasing, and maintenance-yard operations, helping ensure safe and efficient project execution while maintaining ongoing operational requirements.
