Preserving Maryland’s Iconic Bay Bridge Through Strategic Scheduling and Infrastructure Rehabilitation

Anthony Management Group provided Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling services for the Cleaning & Painting Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Repairs project at the westbound William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge for the Maryland Transportation Authority. The project involved cleaning and painting structural steel on key bridge components, including through-truss spans, girder spans, lane-use signal gantries, steel railings, and barrier posts across the bridge. The work also included containment systems, abrasive blasting, protective coating applications, bolt replacements, concrete repairs, miscellaneous structural steel repairs, electrical cable relocations, and maintenance of traffic coordination. AMG developed and maintained the Primavera P6 Integrated CPM schedule, providing schedule updates, critical path analysis, progress monitoring, milestone management, look-ahead planning, and project controls reporting to support the successful execution of this complex bridge preservation program on one of Maryland’s most heavily traveled transportation corridors.
